Road King

Damned Road Kings ruined so many movies, concerts and trips. OTOH, they also made it to so many movies, concerts and trips.

Yezdis had a real soul.

/Is that a Guns 'n Roses reference there?

True - I can't think of a better example of a love/hate relationship.
My left leg gets sore just thinking of that kickback.
//Yes it is - good name for a bike too, no?

good name for a bike too, no?

Depends. Did you lay her sister and did she say that's ok?

Reminds me of that joke about the blonde who tried to blow up a car and burnt her lips on the exhaust.
There's no logic here today.

LOL!
Does the T shirt say Pink Floyd sucks??

Sheesh! The two of you *shakes her head in indulgent amazement*

Reminded me of a guy I used to know and his bike :). We were perpetually late when we went out together :). I believe it was held together by a piece of string and some chewing gum.

guy i knew in college named his bike "operation between-the-legs".

this was a long time ago.

Get a Bullet.

@Szerlem: Thanks and Yes.

@Revealed: Only a G'nR fan would understand.
Chewing gum and string, eh? That describes a good number of bikes I have known and loved.

@TR: Did his parents have him neutered?

@AQC: You know, I was this close to have it be a Bullet instead of a Yezdi here. But, as KM said, the Yezdi had more soul.

There was such a clear hierarchy of college bikers back then.
First were the RD 350s that were bloody expensive, then the Bullets and the Yezdis, then the Yamaha RX100 just above the Kawasaki, and finally the pansies on their Hero Hondas. If you had a Kinetic Honda then you weren't even a part of the equation.

Tabula Rasa said...

don't know about neutered but he sure spent a lot of time playing squash.

aren't you forgetting the suzuki samurai?

blow said...

ca i just say, this is new faourite comic strip!

you're amazing! :)

AtlasDrugged said...

@TR: The suzuki samurai and shogun were late entrants. The shogun was a nice powerful bike on par with the rx, but the samurai was a wheezy little wannabe.

@blow: Thank ye!

and i had a kinetic honda all through high-school. i was coolness, bitch! i mean, the boyfriend had a bullet, and we would roam around the small town, and i think i convinced him that his bike was rubbish. i *think*.

AtlasDrugged said...

Well its not really a name change. Kind of like Batman and Bruce Wayne. New blog, new identity.
As for the Kinetic - no gears, no respect pal. Especially with that push button start.

To be a noble human being is to procure a philanthropic of openness to the mankind, an gift to group aleatory things beyond your own control, that can lead you to be shattered in uncommonly extreme circumstances on which you were not to blame. That says something exceedingly weighty relating to the get of the honest autobiography: that it is based on a trustworthiness in the unpredictable and on a willingness to be exposed; it's based on being more like a plant than like a sparkler, something rather tenuous, but whose very item beauty is inseparable from that fragility.
